California State University Fresno's Poultry Unit donated by Zacky Farms

Seeking to promote a better understanding of the poultry industry, Zacky Farms has funded a poultry management course at California State University Fresno; provided a building to be used; and has assigned a Zacky Farms employee as the instructor. Two area high schools also benefit from similar poultry education programs with Zacky Farms providing each school a poultry unit with feed and chicks for students to raise each spring. Zacky Farms is also proud to utilize a summer intern program for 12 - 24 qualified college students wishing to experience a work project within the poultry industry before graduation. Students benefit from technical training and job exposure while Zacky Farms has gained many talented full-time and long-term employees through this program.

Zacky Farms is proud of its employee-based community involvement organization, Team Zacky. Over 150 employees are part of this volunteer group dedicated to the cause of making a difference in the community through their service. CARING SERVING Team Zacky, celebrating its sixth anniversary this year, has donated over 10,000 service hours community-wide. Team members have volunteered on an average of two plus projects a month. Team Zackys' project list has been a diverse one. With members volunteering their time and support on over 160 projects to date, Team Zacky members can be seen at almost every major community supported event. Team Zacky is a major supporter of Tree Fresno, who plant trees, shrubs and flowers throughout the community. GIVING CONCERN Other service projects include events sponsored by the American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, Chaffee Zoo, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers / Big Sisters, and public television to name a few. Team Zacky has also established partnerships with over 10 area schools by donating turkeys and food baskets to their needy families at holiday time Sharing City of Hope is also a favorite charity of Zacky Farms. Providing services to tens of thousands each year, Zacky Farms is proud to partner with them in their charitable and research efforts.
